Aerospace

Aerospace Welder / Plasma Technician

Position Description:

  • Performs complex manual welding on aircraft components

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years experience GTAW MIG/TIG welding
  • Special alloy / exotic metals experience (hastelloy, nickel, magnesium)
  • Work from drawings, manufacturer's specifications, adhere to detailed work instructions & comprehend detailed drawing weldments
  • Read, write & speak fluent English
  • Perform aesthetic welds while maintaining precision requirements
  • Display mechanical aptitude & skill with hand tools (die grinder, cut-off wheel, blending, coldwork, shaping, etc..)
  • Some experience with shaping & forming sheet metal
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to work in a team environment
  • Essential to participate in all Health and Safety rules & regulations

Alternative Duty Requirements:

  • Familiar wtih metallizing systems & procedures (thermal, wire, plasma, HVOF)
  • Experience with Metco powders & spray equipment
  • Knowledge of masking methods
  • Experience with Fanuc Controllers or Automation is an asset

Group Quality Assurance Representative

Position Description:

  • Calibration of tools and equipment
  • Maintain Gage pack system
  • Issue of test panels - Plating facility
  • Monitor the condition of parts in storage
  • Monitor the Shelf Life program
  • Maintain the Technical Library
  • Perform Internal Audits
  • Assist in initiating and completing NCR's and Corrective Actions
  • Assist the Quality Assurance Manager with any other projects that come up from time to time

Qualifications:

  • Must have 1-3 years min in a Quality role
  • Min High School Education
  • Computer skills
  • Must have taken an Internal Auditing Course
  • Have an understanding Of ISO 9000, AS9110 and 14001 standards, Transport Canada, FAA and EASA Standards
  • Minimum of two years using precision measuring instruments
  • Knowledge of blueprint reading
  • Must be able to work with minimum supervision
  • Must be able to interact and cooperate with other employees
  • Be mentally alert and demonstrate integrity in assessing compliance with requirements, regulations and standards

CNC Machinist

Position Description:

  • Programming, setup and operation of CNC lathes and mills

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years experience as a CNC Machinist required
  • Must be able to program, setup and operate CNC lathes and mills
  • Must be able to interpret drawings, standards and specifications
  • Mastercam / Fanuc experience desired
  • Must be able to work to close tolerances, micro-measurements and understand machine tools

Aerospace Inspector / Planner

Position Description:

  • Perform incoming and intermediate piece part detail inspections on aeronautical product
  • Quoting items for repairs / reworks required based off of incoming inspection results
  • Measure parts using precision measurement instruments and / or CMM as required
  • Create Non-conformance reports as required
  • Review all repair schemes to ensure current data has been received
  • Manage production flow & organize a team of up to 6 operators to achieve daily, weekly & monthly goals
  • Communicate with production manager & customer care manager to ensure above goals are achieved in concert with overall company strategies

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years Aerospace experience
  • RR250 or Bell experience required
  • Gearbox experience desired
  • Machinist / CNC programming experience desired
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must be able to read blueprints
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Team player with the ability to make decisions
  • Essential to participate in all Health and Safety rules & regulations

Repair Development Specialist

Position Description:

  • Design repairs for aircraft Engines and Airframes
  • Prepare new and update existing repair instructions
  • Metallographic Analysis of engineered coatings (preparation and evaluations)
  • Direct communication with TC, FAA and EASA representatives
  • Prepare contract reviews for new products or repairs
  • Design fixturing
  • Design heavy machinery for the agricultural manufacturing sector

Qualifications:

  • Education – one of the following:
    1. Engineering Technician diploma
    2. Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.)
    3. Engineer in Training (EIT)
    4. Professional Engineer (P.Eng)
    5. Work experience in the Aerospace sector
  • Proficient at AutoCAD or SolidWorks
  • Familiar with ISO/AS/EASA/Regulatory requirements
  • Proficient at Excel and Word
  • Good communication skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised and in a fast paced environment
  • Essential to participate in all Health and Safety rules & regulations
